Launch of the Prottyashi Legal Aid Program

With a view to contributing towards reaching 16 no. goal of SDG (Access to Justice), Legal Aid program of Prottyashi has been launched on May 26, 2023. As a part of this new journey, a two-days long "Panel Lawyer's Orientation" has been organized by the Prottyashi Human Rights and Legal Aid Department for the selected panel lawyers. 
The program was inaugurated by Mrs. Monowara Begum, the Executive Director of Prottyashi, at the Prottyashi Conference Room.

Md. Tajul Islam, National Level Consultant and Advocate of Supreme Court facilitated the orientation program presided over by Mr. Syed Shahid Uddin, Director (Program) of Prottyashi.
Advocate Hasnat Haider Ehad, The Legal Officer of Prottyashi, moderated the program while Coordinator (Research & Publication) of Prottyashi presented on the history, mission, vision of Prottyashi.
During the program, selected Panel Lawyers from Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Bandarban, Rangamati and Khagrachari participated in the orientation. 
Initially, the legal assistance by Prottyashi will be provided free of charge to the ultra-poor, marginalized, ethnic groups, Dalits and other vulnerable groups of Chattogram, Cox's Bazar and the three hill districts.
The honorable Executive Director, Monowara Begum, delivered an inspiring speech to the new members of our organization at the orientation's closing ceremony. She expressed with hope and aspiration, "We want to create an environment for the justice seekers where they can share their problems without hesitation".
